In real life, you dress your best and put your best foot forward till the guy/girl is completely hooked and then you slowly bring out the ugliness out of the closets...

When you post an online dating profile, you often end up a victim of what I like to call the ”survey effect” like when you’re given a multiple choice survey about your personal likes and stuff, you deliberately choose things that make you look extremely good or extremely bad...

Same with dating profiles... you try to project an image that will put a favorable impression on others!!!!

Well, we have to lie. After all, rarely do we find someone who is half as good as he wants to be. So, our ambitions to be a particular kind of person leads us to fake it. We tend to invent ourselves as part of self reinvention. Most fail to achieve the end, a few succeed, but those who fail are satisfied with their fictional work even if it could not be replicated in the real life.

That’s just being humans - the perennial dreamers.

People do lie brcause of safety reasons. They lie because, it’s belived that all do lie in net. It’s indeed dangerous to give real profile to persons whome you do not know.

Online dating is just flirting. No dating or love is coplete in net alone, only real dating can make it complete, which brings truth to the front.
