Jihadis are making little headway in garnering support for their cause among Muslims in the Indian mainstream. And the chief of the rump Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Safdar Nagouri, is so disheartened by the lack of response that he...

Good to see this dickhead ”shocked” and ”confused”....Hope all such merchants of hatred go through the same experience.
hardly any normal person supports such things. They just exploit the poor by brainwashing them.

Now, it is my turn to ask a question: Do we really need to give attention to the head of a supposedly anti-India organization to know that Jihad doesn't sell anymore?

Liberal Muslims have been saying all the time but few listened to them. The SIMI chief is just the latest in the list of 'lamenters for Islam' and I am sure he won't be the last lamenter for a great religion.

Jihad doesn't sell anymore.
Gas guzzling cars do not sell anymore.
Global Warming doesn't sell anymore.
George Bush doesn't sell anymore.

What's new?
Personal always. Let us make ourselves better and let us all not hurt our fellow human beings.

Please allow me to borrow from Emily Dickinson's famous poem for this one: "Let me tell tell how many ways Jihad does not sell":
Jihad does not sell when you kill whoever you please.
Jihad does not sell when you are angry at the government and kill civilians for it.
Jihad does not sell when you forget what is right.

Jihad sells when you see the truth that lies inside you. And in all of us.

Sooner or later sellers of hate and mindless violence will realize that all of it was for really nothing. No one is loving you. No one is admiring you, except the illiterate peasant. No one is looking up to you. No one is looking you in the eyes.

Not even the terrorist will look into his eyes in the mirror.
Peace, all.

Rightly said@Andy... Why did this make a news headline in the first place? Why do we need a SIMI top brass to say such a thing when any lay man knows there days are numbered?

Jihad or any other such religion-based ”war” can never sell in India...

we are too busy upping our standards of living.... we are too busy bitching about K-serials... we are too busy speculating whether the Left will sink the government over N-deal....

We are too busy earing hard and spending hard... we are too busy living to be bothered about dying in the name of our gods...

Jihad is for people who dont have anything to loose, anything to live for and perhaps the anti-jihadis might wanna reform the world with this thought!!!
