It is not uncommon for elder brothers, even sisters, in traditional Indian families to delay - and in the process often forgo - their marriage to get the younger ones in the family educated and married.

Why did he marry his own niece? God, Bless him for being such a good son, but, I wish his mother had spared some thoughts about his feelings....unfortunately many a times parents conveniently chose to look the other way when it comes to needs of their kids.

This question deserves an answer. But it may be noted that the niece is also 50 years old and has married her uncle on her own will.

Weird alright but I dont think there’s anything wrong with that.
DOnt get me wrong but , dont you think that it has to be their decision. If both of them are happy then let it be.
