Butterfly tattoos truly are amazing. They can represent so many different things. The fragility of life, transformation, a number of things really. I specifically like butterfly tattoos that incorporate other designs, such as flowers, or when the wings have eyes.

The butterfly is far and away the most-used insect image in all of tattoo. A symbolic creature in many cultures, it sometimes represents beauty itself or metamorphosis and other times the transitory nature of happiness and, indeed, all of life. To the Aztecs, the butterfly symbolized the soul or the breath of life exhaled by the dying. Hello there,
I just happened to see this picture and article and just wanted to say how funny it is because the girl in the picture is me. Recently I have found pictures of my back tattoo popping up all over the internet. I must say though, i never dreamed that my tattoo would become as popular as it has and I was definitely suprised by the amount of comments I have received about it over the years since i had it done. Even my artist, Shannon Archuleta, has told me that mine is her most popular tattoo she has ever done. Anyways, I just wanted to say that its an honor to be used as an example for your article.
