I might be inclined to believe that because that will be stopping the Afghan warlords, mainly the Taliban fighting the US and NATO forces. Now that the Taliban are inside Pakistani territory virtually capturing Peshawar and NWFP Pakistan is feeling the heat.

Pakistan taking steps to stop drug smuggling in India sounds like a dream to me. This however does not count for a dime because it still continues to pump in counterfeit currencies in India, training terrorists in occupied Kashmir etc. This is too little and may be too late.

First they must hand over the largest drug runner in Asia if not the world and terrorist number one - Mr. Dawood Ibrahim. Only then we can be assured of its sincerity in this initiative. Dawood with the connivance of the LTTE in Sri Lanka and other terrorist groups operating against India is running a huge cartel and he is protected by the ISI.

Is this called a blessing in disguise or a disguised blessing?

Only stopping smuggling won’t do anything. They will need to destroy all the base camps of terrorists but which is not possible. Even if they try, there will be opposition from within and the government will topple. There is so much negativity in the psyche that nothing can happen.

Does any one seriously believe that?

I don’t think anyone does. They might do it for a few days to show off. But then it will be the same again. Also why it is drugs and why not the terrorists. Why not arrest Masood Azhar if they have to show real goodwill?

One more step towards making the world a better place for living.
